How to stream your music from your computer with WINAMP

Winamp Nullsoft DSP Plug-in download

- install the plugin in the same folder than winamp is installed.

- open winamp, go to options/preferences, select Plugins/DSP/effects in the left side and highlight "Lullsoft SHOUTcast Source DSP" in the right side.

- The SHOUTcast Source window appears with 4 tabs: Main - Output - Encoder - Input - Go to Output tab, select Output 1, uncheck Connect at Startup.
- Go to Encoder tab, select Encoder 1, Encoder type: MP3, settings: a good setting is "128kbps, 44 100kHz, Stereo" (set the bitrate according to your upload bandwidth, 64kbps gives a good result if you have a low connection).
- Go to Input tab, select input device: Winamp.

- Go back to Output tab. There is 2 tabs called: Connection and Yellowpges
- Go to Yellowpages tab, put the name of your stream or station under description. put you URL website if you want. Check unable Title Updates if you want the shoutcast server show the titles of your tunes.

- Go to Connection tab. Here is where you put the infos given to you to be able to stream through the server. Adress is where you put the URL that has been given to you. In our case: streams.raven-z.com. (do not put http://). Put the your port and your password, be careful not to put a blank space when you copy and paste the password. set the encoder to 1. Reconnection Timeout: 30 sec is a good setting.

- In the same Output tab, after you make sure that Winamp is playing a tune, click on Connect.

- Go to Main tab if you see Outpout 1 connected and the lights are dancing, you are done! If not, try again this guide step by step, and call me, I will be pleased to assist you.
